Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also produced films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. As a young girl Paula Patton grew up in an Los Angeles middle-class household. Her mom was obsessed with films, and she instilled the love of movies in her daughter. Paula participated in co-curricular programs at her school and loved drama. Her classmates and she played together and took part in the school's plays. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many opportunities to be an actor in high school and she picked acting as a career. The summer was a blast at the University of Southern California. She was given a three month task to produce documentaries for PBS. After completing the project successfully, she started being an assistant in TV documentary production. The next thing she did was produce documentaries. Even though she loved the work, she wanted to become an actor. The path to acting began when she had a minor role alongside Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. She has appeared since in numerous films as well as TV series.
